As an avid flounder enthusiast, I am constantly
looking for and testing various lures on the market that will increase my
chances in landing the most sought after fish of all along the Upper Texas
Gulf Coast, the "Mighty Saddle Blanket". Until recently, I would use
various combinations of jigs, plastics, and skirts to suit the ever changing
water conditions and weather we're so used to experiencing while pursuing
these Fall migrating beauties. Most would work, but not on a consistent basis,
until I discovered the Snapper Slapper Jr. I have been HOOKED ever since! On
several occasions this Fall, I have limited out on Flounder. Not only does
this lure catch in numbers, but I have been pulling in bigger fish ever since
changing over to the Snapper Slapper. The red/white 1/2 oz and
purple 1/2 oz junior have done the trick. These bigger fish I've been catching
on the Snapper Slapper are not just coincidence with latter half of the
"run", they are really taking this lure more so often than on my
other "home-made" combinations. There were instances when several
others fishing shoulder to shoulder next to me were surprised and in disbelief
that I was landing more and bigger fish than they were. I hade to give up my
secret, just to be a good sport about it.
To all of you who have invented an manufactured
the Snapper Slapper, I have to say thanks for making my quest for the elusive
"Doormat" allot easier and more exciting .
